Palmer Park Unleashed is a sub-committee of People for Palmer Park’s Events Committee. PFPP is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations may be made to People for Palmer Park and earmarked for the Palmer Park Unleashed Dog Park.

Palmer Park Unleashed and People for Palmer Park are partners with the City of Detroit.

Funding for the Palmer Park Dog Park was secured thanks to the advocacy of our District 2 City Councilmember Angela Calloway and support from Mayor Mike Duggan, Group Executive for Infrastructure Brad Dick and District 2 City Manager Kim Tandy, and the City of Detroit’s landscape architecture team led by Chief of Landscape Architecture Tim Karl with Senior Parks Planner Shamori Whitt, and Landscape Designer Farhat Chaudhry . The Palmer Park Dog Park was funded by the City of Detroit and completed in August 2023.
